
Who We Are
Pashuka Africa is a Namibian born wellness and leadership company dedicated to one purpose: ensuring that no employee has to suffer in silence. Founded by Renate Shikongo, with a background in clinical psychology, creative expression, employee wellness, and occupational health & safety, Pashuka Africa was built on a deep understanding of the true cost to an organisation when its people are not well. Rooted in Namibia and equipped to serve organisations across Africa, we work across corporate, industrial, regimental, and government environments, bringing tailored, evidence based wellness and leadership solutions to the industries that need them the most.



Why We Exist
For too long, employee wellbeing has been treated as an afterthought, a line item, a once-a-year event, a generic programme rolled out with good intentions but little real impact. Renate saw this pattern repeatedly throughout her career. Organisations are more prepared to cure than to prevent. Wellness initiatives designed without listening to the very people they were meant to serve. Employees carrying invisible weight, with no real outlet and no real voice. Industries, each with its own distinct pressures, cultures, and risks, are being treated as if they are all the same. She also experienced it personally.
That combination of professional observation and personal experience became the foundation of Pashuka Africa. Not as another wellness company, but as something different: an ecosystem. A living, responsive, research backed system of solutions and expertise, designed to meet each organisation exactly where it is, because the workplace itself is the starting point and every workplace is unique.
How We Work
At Pashuka Africa, we do not arrive with a predetermined programme. We arrive with questions. Before any intervention, experience, or recommendation, we diagnose. We study your environment, your industry, your culture, and your people. We listen to what employees are actually experiencing, not just what leadership assumes they are and from that foundation, we build something that fits.
Our ecosystem brings together expert facilitators, data-driven workplace assessments, and a database of tailored solutions across disciplines so that whatever your organisation needs, the right expertise is readily available and purposefully applied. We serve every industry and we research every industry before we serve it because the challenges facing an employee in oil and gas are not the same as those facing someone in finance, government, or a regimental environment.
